The Jack Russell Terrier Club of Canada was formed in 1989 to preserve and protect the conformation and working ability of the real Jack Russell Terrier. We welcome all owners and admirers of the versatile Jack Russell Terrier. Our interests include showing, hunting, trialing and breeding. Our members share a love of this loyal companion and best friend! Join our events to support our club, promote the breed, and have fun with your dog.

Dedication

We are dedicated to showcasing our amazing and versatile Jack Russell Terriers. Events such as conformation, racing, lure-coursing, go-to-ground, super earth, barn hunt, brush hunt, high jump, agility, trailing and location and ball retrieval showcase a terrier's intelligence and physical abilities.

Principles

Our guiding principle is to promote the breed's historical conformation while keeping the working ability in the forefront. Our goal is that the Jack Russell Terrier remain a bright, alert and well rounded dog, with the form, endurance and drive to go to ground after their quarry.

High Standard

Showing conformation rewards breeders whose terriers meet our highest breed standards, which emphasize the health and true working abilities of the breed.

Our Club

Our Club is made up of a group of volunteers who share a love of dogs and sport alike. We have a wealth of breed knowledge and experience as breeders, dog owners, trial organizers, participants, judges and volunteers at many of the trials and events held throughout Ontario.

Events

Our events attract Jack Russell admirers of all ages, from all walks of life.

Tips and Tricks

New and potential future members are encouraged to come and learn tips and tricks and bring out the natural instincts in these wonderful little dogs at our club events. Please come out and join in the fun with your dog!
